Unidentified flying object over Alaska: U.S. reports downing

The U.S. Air Force shot down an unidentified flying object in the airspace over Alaska on Friday. The object, the size of a small car, was traveling at an altitude of about 12,000 meters and posed a threat to aviation, it said. There are no clues as yet as to the origin of the flying object.
