Stuttgart Airport, also known as Manfred Rommel Airport, was built in 1936 and modernized to its current state between 1986 and 2004. The approximately 400-hectare site is located between the towns of Leinfelden-Echterdingen and Filderstadt, about 12 kilometers south of Stuttgart. Stuttgart Airport is the largest in Baden-Württemberg and the seventh largest in Germany. Around seven million passengers used the airport in 2022.
