Hungary can also celebrate carnival!

Carnival is also celebrated in Hungary. The largest carnival festivity can be found in southern Hungary, in Mohács. But even at Lake Balaton, they know how to showcase carnival. This past weekend, the 23rd Carnival Festival kicked off here with a grand parade through the town of Keszthely. 33 groups presented their themes to the audience. A truly colorful spectacle, and many tourists also made their way to Keszthely to sway a bit and celebrate the colorful carnival. Thousands of people gathered in front of the carnival stage at the end and celebrated the winner of the costume contest.
