Effective solution for e-scooter parking chaos: New mobile stations introduced in Mannheim's squares

Three so-called "mobile stations" were inaugurated in Mannheim's squares on Wednesday, which are intended to end the parking chaos with e-scooters - i.e. electric pedal scooters. The official launch of the three "mobile stations" took place on Wednesday afternoon in Mannheim city center. These stations are located at the castle, the town hall and the town hall. In future, it will only be possible to start or end the scooter rental process using GPS in these zones. The regulation covers a radius of around 200 meters around the stations. This means that people who want to rent or return an e-scooter in these areas must do so in the specially designated parking zones with immediate effect, otherwise additional charges will apply. Outside these zones, e-scooters may still be parked anywhere as before.
