Scholz confirms: No Bundeswehr soldiers to Ukraine

Following comments by French President Emmanuel Macron about the possible deployment of Western ground troops to Ukraine, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) has reaffirmed that he will not send Bundeswehr soldiers to the war zone. "To put it bluntly: as German Chancellor, I will not be sending any soldiers from our Bundeswehr to Ukraine," Scholz said in a video message.
