A grandma reacted extremely positively when her grandson announced that he had received a publishing contract for his romance novel. Brandon Purves learned last month (February 10) that he had won the Penguin Michael Joseph Undiscovered Writer Prize for 'Don't Kiss Nicholas Prince.' Brandon rushed to tell his grandmother Mary Purves, 88, and was able to capture her reaction on video.
