Harvey Weinstein after reversed rape conviction in hospital

Harvey Weinstein was admitted to a New York hospital after the New York appellate court overturned his 2020 rape conviction. According to his lawyer Arthur Aidala, Weinstein was admitted to Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan for a series of tests. Reports indicate that Weinstein has health issues such as high blood pressure, heart problems, and other complaints. The decision to transfer him to Bellevue was made after he was housed in the Walsh Regional Medical Unit at the Mohawk Correctional Facility. The appellate court ruled 4-3 that the judge in Weinstein's trial was biased for allowing witness testimony on allegations unrelated to the case. Due to this decision, the court ordered a new trial, so Weinstein remains incarcerated. Despite the overturned conviction, Weinstein remains imprisoned in Los Angeles for another rape conviction.
