'Joker: Folie à Deux" flops at the box office with $40 million in revenue

'Joker: Folie à Deux", the sequel to the comic adaptation, disappointed with a box office gross of $40 million at the US box office. The anti-hero musical mix by director Todd Phillips made less than half of the original "Joker" on its opening, despite production costs being three times higher. The film also became the first Hollywood comic adaptation to receive a D-cinema rating as audiences were dissatisfied with the film.
