Director Sam Mendes unveiled the cast for his highly anticipated biopics about the Beatles at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. The four films, set to hit theaters in April 2028, will each focus on a different Beatles member's perspective. Paul Mescal will portray Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr. Titled 'The Beatles - A Four-Film Cinematic Event,' Mendes described the project as 'the first cinema experience to watch,' offering a deeper insight into the legendary band's history. During the announcement, the actors took to the stage and recited texts from 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club' Band before bowing, reminiscent of the Beatles' heyday. 'I feel honored to tell the story of the greatest rock band of all time and look forward to challenging the notion of what makes a cinema visit,' Mendes said. Mendes, known for films like 'American Beauty' and 'Skyfall,' is the first filmmaker to have full access to both the band members' life stories and their music rights for a screenplay. Sony Pictures will release the biopics produced by Mendes alongside Pippa Harris and Julie Pastor from Neal Street Productions.
