For the new season, several Baltic Sea resorts on the Bay of Lübeck have raised the spa tax and the beach use fee. Almost everywhere, the day at the beach previously cost three euros, now it will be 3.50 euros. Not much in itself - but a week's vacation with the whole family adds up to quite a bit. This upsets some travelers, but is necessary, say the municipalities.
