Passione, an e-book on Alfa Romeo design
An interactive e-book that chronicles the heritage, influences and exploration of Alfa Romeo's passion and love for Italian design over the last 110 years.
The year 2022 marks an important moment for Aprilia Racing en su joven historia de MotoGP. A great result that is only at the point of departure for the evolution of 2022, a time in which Aprilia will be in parrilla with a deeply renovated RS-GP with respect to the fact that it has demonstrated a good technical base. No only los resultados, sino más que nada, la brecha detrás de los mejores pilotos (nunca antes tan constantly baja en la historia de la marca), agreed to los ingenieros del departamento de carreras para enfocar su trabajo en todas las áreas de desempeño. Sin revolucionar, but with the innovative capacity that siempre has hecho destacar el esfuerzo de Aprilia in las carreras

The all-new 2022 Volkswagen Golf R is expected to arrive late this year will offer more power than any Golf R to date, with 315 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. To ensure that power gets to the road properly, Volkswagen engineers have designed a new 4Motion® all-wheel-drive system with rear-axle torque vectoring. This serves as the foundation for the updated handling abilities of the Golf R, delivering a new level of performance for its category. The standard 4Motion all-wheel-drive systems in the prior Golf R can send up to 50 percent of the engine’s total power to the rear axle. The differential from the 4Motion drive system normally transfers the power in a 50:50 ratio via a multi-plate clutch to the left and the right-hand rear wheels, even as the differential lets them rotate at different speeds when cornering. The new torque vectoring system in the 2022 Golf R uses a rear differential with two multiplate clutches that can now distribute up to 100 percent of the rear torque to an individual rear wheel. This system is designed to decide how to apportion power between the wheels based on speed, power application, yaw and other factors. In a typical corner, the system can direct more power to the wheel on the outside of the curve in a matter of milliseconds, reducing the cornering radius.
Porsche Santa Clarita, a Galpin Motors dealership, recently completed the restoration and customization of a 1955 Porsche 356 Speedster as part of the 2021 Porsche Restoration Challenge. The dealership acquired the car from its second owner, a California local who had modified the 356 for racing during his 50 years of ownership. The 356, with coachwork by Reutter Karosserie, was originally imported through famed New York importer Max Hoffman. Porsche Santa Clarita modified the body of the 356 with shaved rocker moldings and rear reflectors, a louvered decklid, and filled, smoothed and chromed bumpers. A custom-mixed Blue-Green paint from PPG accents the tailored body, as does a set of 1960 magnesium Halibrand knock-off wheels finished in House of Kolor gold with a matte klear finish. Under the rear decklid lies an upgraded 1600SC flat-four air-cooled pushrod engine with chromed components mated to a 519 transaxle. On the inside, Porsche Santa Clarita opted for red leather with tartan inserts and color-matched Blue-Green trim. When approaching the restoration, Galpin President and COO Beau Boeckmann opted for a full restoration with period-correct modifications, imagining the 356 as if it had been “Galpinized” when new. Porsche Santa Clarita technician Nicolas Briseno carried out the mechanical restoration while Dave Shuten of Galpin Speed Shop completed the body and paint modifications. Galpin Auto Sports – G.A.S. assisted with the remaining restoration work.
