According to the brand philosophy, the Mercedes-Maybach SL offers a holistic, sensual experience. The contour of the brand-specific, chrome-plated grille is illuminated, as is the delicately crafted Maybach lettering. The distinctive hood with an upright Mercedes star in the center features a chrome longitudinal fin. To further enhance exclusivity, the obsidian black hood is available with an integrated Maybach Pattern in graphite gray on request. This process is very elaborate and partly done by hand. The hood first receives a base coat, which is then manually sanded. Subsequently, it is printed with the Maybach Pattern. Each process step requires high technical standards and demands the utmost precision in execution. Finally, the hood is coated with matte clear lacquer, sanded by hand again, and refined with matte clear lacquer once more. The interior of the headlights is adorned with a high-quality accent in rose gold. The specific front bumper emphasizes the width of the vehicle with horizontal air intakes. The windshield frame is adorned with glossy chrome. Another chrome insert is located in the longitudinal member cladding. The Mercedes-Maybach SL rides on 21-inch forged wheels in a 5-hole design or a multi-spoke design.
