"Der Bergdoktor", a popular medical series that has been broadcast on ORF 2 and ZDF since 2008, is a remake of the series of the same name from 1992-1997 and is based on a series of magazine novels. The plot revolves around Dr. Martin Gruber, who returns to his home in Ellmau and to his family, the Grubers, after a surprise return from New York.
