Tourism in Bavaria is booming. From January to March, nearly 7.4 million guests visited the Free State. Middle Franconia leads the way in overnight stays with an increase of more than 9 percent compared to last year. Camping sites in Bavaria have seen a growth of around 160 percent. In March alone, there were almost 308 thousand overnight stays.
