Hemsbach: Serious accident with horse transporter - fire department frees two animals from vehicle

Three horses could be rescued from an overturned horse transporter and trailer after a traffic accident on Thursday (4.2.) without significant injuries, according to previous findings. Around 9:25 a.m., a 32-year-old Audi driver from the Stuttgart area hit the horse trailer in front of him for reasons that have not yet been explained. Due to the impact, the trailer swung up and caused the towing vehicle, a transporter, in which two of the three horses were, to overturn. The driver of the car was injured and taken to the nearest hospital. The 45-year-old driver from the district of Cloppenburg and her 28-year-old passenger from Osnabrück were uninjured. Until 12:25 p.m., the southbound lane between the Heppenheim and Hemsbach junctions was fully closed.
