KIA crashes into crash barrier - 57-year-old driver has to be evacuated

Mannheim: On Thursday afternoon, a 57-year-old man was driving his KIA into the city on Casterfeldstraße. For reasons as yet unknown, the driver's car veered off the road to the left and hit the central crash barrier twice. The impact caused the vehicle to veer to the right, where it finally came to a halt in front of a noise barrier. Witnesses rescued the 57-year-old from the car. The man had to be taken to hospital after being resuscitated. The right-hand lane was closed during the operation. The damage to the KIA is estimated at 10,000 euros
