Israel has announced the expansion of the military offensive to "almost the entire Gaza Strip." A hospital in Gaza was hit by two Israeli rockets. The Israeli military claims to have surrounded the city of Rafah. The captured areas in the southern coastal strip are intended to serve as an Israeli "security zone."
