The legal team of Justin Baldoni has rejected Blake Lively's 'absurd' claim that he acted based on an 'abuse script' when filing a $400 million lawsuit against her and Ryan Reynolds. The feud between Lively and Baldoni originated during the production of the film 'A Simple Favor,' where Baldoni directed and co-starred with the actress. Lively filed a lawsuit accusing the director of sexual harassment and attempting to sabotage her career - allegations he denies. His team argues that Baldoni 'never once publicly attempted to admonish Ms. Lively for her own misconduct during filming.' 'He addressed all of her concerns during filming in the appropriate manner, even though he vehemently disagreed, he himself committed to doing things differently and maintaining peace, as she expressly admitted in her own lawsuit,' explained his attorney Bryan Freedman. Baldoni's attorney, Bryan Freedman, stated that he plans to 'defend his client against Lively's 'power, privilege, and lies.' The lawsuit also claims that the 'A Simple Favor' star exceeded her contractual boundaries by interfering in the production process and taking control of her wardrobe, among other things. Freedman accused the 37-year-old actress of doubling down on her claims after 'Baldoni submitted 200 pages of irrefutable facts and documentary evidence that shattered her false claims.' According to the lawsuit, Baldoni accused Lively of using her Reynolds, her husband, and her close friend Taylor Swift to 'pressure' him into accepting script edits. Lively's legal team stated that Baldoni's lawsuit is 'an age-old story' where a 'perpetrator' tries to 'turn the tables on the victim.' Both Baldoni and Lively deny the conflicting accusations and any misconduct.
