Bill Murray breaks his silence on allegations of inappropriate behavior
The actor Bill Murray has spoken out about the allegations of inappropriate behavior made by a female crew member on the set of Aziz Ansari's film 'Being Mortal' (2022) against him. The film, which would have been Ansari's directorial debut, was suspended indefinitely due to an internal investigation into Murray's behavior on set. The crew member accused the actor of spreading a mask and kissing her, which Murray dismissed at the time as a 'disagreement.' Murray, who initially tried to reconcile with the woman, eventually paid her over 91,700 euros as compensation in a mediation process. 'It's something I've done before with someone, and I thought it was funny, and every time it happened, it was funny. I wore a mask and gave her a kiss while she wore a mask. It wasn't that I touched her, but it was just that I gave her a kiss through a mask. And she wasn't a stranger,' Murray told the New York Times. Murray revealed that he is still bothered by the way the incident was handled by Disney's human rights department and admitted that he was unaware of the 'pre-existing condition.' The 'Groundhog Day' actor told the 'New York Times' that he learned something from the experience, which he described as a 'great disappointment.' While promoting his new film 'The Friend' on the talk show 'Watch What Happens Live,' Murray grabbed Watt's face and kissed her after she was asked about the best on-screen kiss of her career. Although visibly shocked, Watts seemed to brush off the kiss with a laugh and said he had lipstick on his face.
