Due to the corona restrictions, Austrian publishers and their authors have been unable to adequately present their new publications in bookshops and at reading events for over a year. In order to counter this precarious situation for the Austrian publishers and to give them more visibility, the Main Association of the Austrian Book Trade initiated the video discussion format “Exceptional Conversations” in March 2020
