How to Appreciate Single Dads on Father's Day

Source: VIDEOELEPHANT (Glomex)

Being a parent is hard work, especially for single parents. Father's Day is definitely a day to celebrate the single dads in your life. Whether a single dad in your life has lost his partner or separated from the mother of his child, here are 5 ways to honor him on Father's Day: Plan a surprise. If your brother or friend is a single dad of a young child, they may not yet understand what this day is about. You could send them a care package or invite them for a meal; just make sure they feel special and appreciated. Write him a letter. Let him know what a great job he's doing, and make sure he knows he's not alone and that his friends and family are there for him. If he has a babysitter, take him out for a meal. Talk to him about how he's coping with single parenting. If you're attending a family meal on Father's Day and there's a single dad present who could be your brother or uncle, raise a toast with him. If the single dad in your life can't go out, go to him and order his favorite takeout or cook a homemade meal. You deserve to be celebrated!
