The Hollywood film "Titanic" by director James Cameron was a great success worldwide, but particularly in China it was extraordinarily successful. Cameron wanted to tell the little-known story of the Titanic with the film, focusing on the experiences of third-class passengers, including immigrants. Among the passengers were eight Chinese, six of whom are known to have survived.
