Water center in Hesse: Yes or no?

Source: RHEINMAINTV (Glomex)

In Hesse, 95 percent of drinking water is obtained from groundwater. The Ministry of the Environment monitors the quantity and quality. However, the supply of water to private households and businesses is the responsibility of the local authorities, and the state of Hesse provides support with various measures such as the creation of municipal water concepts or the Water Plan for the Future, which aims to secure the water supply in the long term. In view of the fact that groundwater levels in Hesse are continuously falling due to climate change, the Hessian Ministry of the Environment has commissioned a study into the possible introduction of a so-called water cent. Michael Denk, Head of the Water and Soil Department at the Hessian Ministry of the Environment, is familiar with the results of the study.
