Experts marvel at sighting of basking shark

An eight-meter-long basking shark was spotted in the Gulf of Trieste in Italy. As the portal "Trieste Prima" reports, this is an absolute rarity. This impressive animal was spotted between Santa Croce and Marina di Aurisina. A video shows it swimming slowly with its fin tips clearly visible near the surface of the water. Several experts were able to identify the shark beyond doubt.
