High Loss at Nuremberg Insurance: What Happens Next

Now it is official: Nuremberg Insurance closed the year 2024 with a loss of 77 million euros. The insurance company plans to take 250 measures to save nearly 60 million euros. To achieve this, the company intends to cut around 600 jobs. There were significant losses, especially in the property and casualty insurance sector. The main reasons for this are the increased expenses in motor and property insurance due to inflation, major claims, and natural disaster events, as well as reserve strengthening. According to media reports, CEO Harald Rosenberger expects a group result of 40 million euros for the year 2025.
