The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has officially announced its nominees for 2024. These include Mariah Carey, Cher, Eric B. & Rakim, Foreigner, Kool & the Gang, Oasis, Sinéad O'Connor, Ozzy Osbourne and A Tribe Called Quest. Should Ozzy Osbourne be inducted into the Hall of Fame, it would be his second appearance in the Hall of Fame, his first being as a member of the band Black Sabbath. Other nominees include Jane's Addiction, Peter Frampton, Lenny Kravitz, Mary J. Blige, Dave Matthews Band and Sade. It is the second nomination for Eric B. & Rakim, Jane's Addiction and Dave Matthews Band, and the third for A Tribe Called Quest. Remarkably, The White Stripes, who were not considered for last year's inclusion, will not even be on the ballot in 2024.

The emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and his consort, Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad Al Thani, land at Stansted airport for a two-day state visit hosted by King Charles III.
