The mother of Sean 'Diddy' Combs, Janice, is reported to have thrown wild parties at the music mogul's childhood home, as revealed by a longtime friend of Combs. Producer Tim 'Dawg' Patterson stated in 'Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy,' a new documentary about Combs: 'That's what we heard; that's what we were fed.' Patterson continued: 'I don't have the answer, but I really believe it all goes back to childhood.' Combs' father Melvin, who was murdered in 1972, was a known associate of drug lords in Harlem. Reports suggest that Janice Combs kept the details of Melvin's murder from her son and was determined to provide him with the best possible childhood. Patterson claims that Combs' classmates 'smelled that he wasn't tough' and he was heavily bullied as a child. The producer revealed that there was 'always something going on' at Combs' home, with Janice throwing parties and '[Combs] partying in the house, and we did that a lot.' 'He was surrounded by all kinds of alcohol; he was surrounded by weed. There were drug addicts, lesbians, homosexuals, pimps, dealers. These were all people who were in our house. The people who came to the parties were from Harlem, from the streets,' Patterson said in the documentary. In an interview with Vibe in 1999, Combs revealed that he was introduced to sex at an early age and lost his virginity at 12. The founder of Bad Boy Records is awaiting trial at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after being charged with sex trafficking, conspiracy to commit extortion, and transportation for prostitution.
