At the age of 33, the Belgian midfielder is ending a remarkable career of nearly a decade at the English club, where he won 16 trophies, including the UEFA Champions League in the 2022/2023 season. The announcement came in an emotional letter posted on social media, where De Bruyne thanked the fans and the city of Manchester. "I will cut to the chase and tell you that these will be my last months as a Manchester City player. Despite his admiration, the player has suffered from physical problems in recent years that have kept him out of action for extended periods.
