Kevin De Bruyne has announced that he will leave Manchester City at the end of the 2024/2025 season. The player's new destination has not yet been revealed. At the age of 33, the Belgian midfielder is ending a remarkable career of nearly a decade at the English club, where he won 16 trophies, including the UEFA Champions League in the 2022/2023 season. The announcement came in an emotional letter posted on social media, where De Bruyne thanked the fans and the city of Manchester. "I will cut to the chase and tell you that these will be my last months as a Manchester City player. It's not easy for me to write this, but as footballers, we all know that such days eventually come," wrote the number 17. Despite his admiration, the player has suffered from physical problems in recent years that have kept him out of action for extended periods. In 2024, he had four injuries, including a muscular one that sidelined him for a month and a half. Nevertheless, De Bruyne has scored six goals and provided nine assists in 35 games this season.
