Cop & scribbler on "Die Zentrale" by Veit Etzold

источник: KIVVON BULLE & SCHREIBERLING (Glomex)

In the latest episode of their talk, "cop" Sebastian Fiedler and "scribbler" Frank Überall discuss how their professions are portrayed in the bestseller "Die Zentrale" by Veit Etzold (Droemer Verlag). The crime novel is about a banker who is forced to do all sorts of things - a "home game" for Fiedler, who spent years investigating white-collar crime as a criminal investigator. Among other things, the two talk about their own experiences with prisons. They also talk, for example, about how investigations into property owned by Russian oligarchs in Germany are conducted: Based on the novel by Veit Etzold, they also address the fact that lawyers sometimes "shower officials with paper" in order to benefit their clients' defense. The "economic redistribution from stupid to clever" in the banking sector and the exploitation of insider tips are discussed, as are life situations in Berlin. And Fiedler and Überall always give an insight into their own (professional) experiences with these topics.
