Source: THE HISTORY CHANNEL (Glomex)

On April 15, 1912, the RMS Titanic sank 300 nautical miles off Newfoundland after colliding with an iceberg. Over 1,500 people lost their lives. However, during the collision with the iceberg, they could not contain the massive influx of water as it flowed over the bulkheads. Were these protective mechanisms misjudged, or could they have prevented the disaster under different circumstances?
