The new Mercedes-Benz CLA - Light-filled ambiance - standard panoramic roof with heat protection coating

All CLA models come with a large panoramic roof as standard from the factory. This one-piece glass fixed roof does not require a center spar and seamlessly extends from the windshield frame to the rear. This enables a new interior experience with almost unobstructed views upwards. At the same time, the panoramic roof contributes to greater headroom in both rows of seats compared to its predecessor. To protect against sunlight, heat-insulating laminated safety glass is used. The outer skin is equipped with a 250 nanometer thin infrared film. It reflects long-wave rays and thus reduces any potential glare. For comparison: a human hair has a diameter of approximately 50,000 nanometers. The 200 nanometer also ultra-thin low-emissivity (LowE) coating on the inside of the panoramic roof reduces the emissivity of the glazing and serves as heat protection. This is why a sunshade was not needed, creating an even airier impression.

MC20 Cielo announces its special features in its very name: MC stands for Maserati Corse (‘Racing’); 20 refers to 2020, the year that began the brand’s new era; Cielo (‘sky’) highlights the fact that it is a model devoted to driving pleasure in the great outdoors, while maintaining all the prerogatives of the coupé.
