The second Volvo truck lost its load of carrots, which also spread across the lanes and the roadside. This was a challenge for the emergency services. A subsequent accident in the tailback then finally brought traffic to a standstill despite the traffic diversion. A car and truck were also involved in the accident, with a VW small car driving into the rear of the tanker.
